To keep the spirit of SingFest alive in the gap year, there will be a mini festival running for the day only consisting of a series of choral concerts on Sunday the 11th September 2011 starting at 11am. Tickets are $7 at the door of the Tweed Coolangatta Golf Club auditorium - Soorley St, Tweed Heads South NSW 2486

The choirs attending will be from the South East QLD and Northern NSW area.

The day's schedule will look something like this:

Colour change at Tweed Heads Vegas Motel

After much deliberation, the new colour scheme for the motel has finally been choosen. That's right, no longer will we be the pink motel opposite the bowls club but rather we will be the bone and sand coloured motel with rusty redish burgundy highlights. Actually the colours are called firestone, eyre and townsend which sound much more artistic.

I should have the scaffolding sometime next week which will force me to get the job done quickly. I don't think the colours are going to work too well with the pink so it's good that the scaffold hire will hurry the job along.

Samsung FULL High Definition 81cm 550 Series Flat Screen LCD Televisions are now in all the rooms at the Tweed Heads Vegas Motel. These TVs have excellent digital reception and give you access to high quality movies when used with the DVD player that is also in every room.

From an owners point of view they are excellent too. The channel configuration can be copied via USB stick from unit to unit making installation and changes a breeze.

For guests that are switched on, the USB port allows connection of devices to play audio, images and even video directly from a USB memory device. I have played mp3's from my memory stick and even movies ripped onto a portable hard drive.
